| Terry also cited his own experience of a serious spinal cord injury while he was in the Marine Corps. The excellent medical care he received in the military and from the VA beginning immediately after his injury enabled him to return to work, and he has been working for the last 35 years. |

Eliminating the 24 month Medicare sit out would be extreme. I agree. It is the worst possible time to be without needed benefits. From a health and financial perspective, the damage done in that time may be so severe that a person might never bounce back. Unemployed, uncovered, and serious health issues for a kicker. A horrid situation for those who find themselves in it. This needs to change.
